Our OAP Warriors recently had their district competition, we want to congratulate the following warriors: Please congratulate the following students for their amazing work at the district contest: Jesus Cantu All Star Technician (Put them in the top 6 technicians of the contest) Nathan Berman Honorable Mention All Star Cast (Put them in the top 16 actors in the contest Diego Guerra All Star Cast Award (Put them in the top 10 actors of the contest) Congratulations to our warriors as well as Mr. Lerma and the warrior theatre department.

Our Boys & Girls Powerlifting season has come to an end this weekend. Our Warrior program had a record breaking year, we are so proud of all of our competitors. Boys Season: Boys State: Ryan Creasy - 1st place, our first state champion and first multi-time state medalist in program history Tony Garcia - 10th place Team result - 11th out of 147 teams, our best team finish in program history Boys Regionals - 14th place out of 38 teams Ryan Creasy - 1st place and our 1st regional champion in program history Tony Garcia - 6th place and qualified for state Girls season: Girls State: Jayden Caratachea - 7th place Alisa Ramirez - 9th place. Girls Regional - 12th out of 26 teams, our highest placing at regionals in our girls program's history Alisa Ramirez - 2nd place, qualified for the state meet, and the first lifter in our girls program's history to medal at the regional meet Jayden Caratachea - qualified for the state meet Congratulations to Coach Friedman and his staff for a record breaking season.

Rowe HS Senior Alejandra Llanos, was name Texas Youth of the Year! Alejandra was presented with her award this week at the state capitol. We are so proud of Alejandra!

Rowe students competed at the District Spanish Spelling Bee 🐝 Odalys Martinez, obtained 3rd place, and will be representing Rowe at the regional Spelling Tournament on April 1st 🥇

Teachers of the Year always get recognized and celebrated with a gift basket, balloons, a fantastic Mariachi Azteca performance, BUT this year we've begun a NEW TRADITION...where our Teacher of the Year also gets a fence sign for a dedicated parking space on our campus!!

Congratulations to the Rowe Varsity Full Orchestra, they earned Sweepstakes (Straight 1's) at their UIL Competition held at UTRGV.

Please help us congratulate our students on their Superior Rating at STATE UIL MARIACHI FESTIVAL. Also, one of our students, Rocio Martinez received the very special award, Outstanding Performer!

The James "Nikki" Rowe High School student/athletes participated in the Special Olympics basketball tournament on February 25th. Congratulations to our athletes: Nathan Gonzalez Michael Martinez Brayan Sevilla Juan Adame They won 1st place!

Our Warriors have had an amazing March, we are so proud of all of their accomplishments. We will be sharing all of the amazing things that have been happening on our social media accounts today!

Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Club of McAllen 2023 Youth of the Year, Alejandra Llanos!! Alejandra will be representing McAllen at State Youth of the Year! The Youth of the Year program is a scholarship program for high school students.

Congratulations to the following student-athletes on their accomplishments in qualifying for the girls' regional powerlifting meet. The meet will be held Wednesday, March 1st at the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg. This week Rowe StuCo is participating in the Be Kindness Project. Today they set up brunch for our amazing staff in the teacher's lounge as well as recognizing 2 teachers and 1 administrator who the students voted embody kindness daily. A special thank you to Mr.Hamel, Mrs.Garza, and Mr.Alaniz for always coming to school and brightening the students days!!
